9. GPS AND MAVLINK

GPS and MAVLink

There are three di erent ways to provide GPS coordinates to the Workswell WIRIS Agro:

1. GPS NMEA protocol

2. MAVLink protocol

3. DJI CAN

In this chapter, the GPS and MAVLink interfaces are explained. They share the same physical interface, but they
di er in communica on protocol.

Warning

: The +5V wire on the GPS input is intended for powering otherwise unpowered GPS modules

from WIRIS Agro. If your GPS source is powered otherwise, do

NOT

connect the +5V wires and leave

them unconnected instead, only connec ng the GND, TXD and RXD pins. If the +5V wires are connected,
damage of either device might occur.
