- The electric chain saw is equipped with safety switches that require the use of both hands.
- Before connecting the electric chain saw to the power supply, make sure that the voltage in your electrical
outlet corresponds to the information on the rating plate.
- Check the power cord for damage. If it is, have it replaced by an authorized service center to avoid danger.
- Unwind the power cord completely!
- Before you start working with the electric chain saw, make sure that the saw is working properly and is not
damaged in any way. Also check the chain lubrication and the oil level in the tank. If necessary, add oil to the
tank. Switch on the electric saw with the guide bar and chain mounted and hold it well above the light surface.
If an oil mark builds up on the substrate, the chain lubrication works flawlessly.
- Make sure that the running electric chain saw does not come into contact with the ground. For safety
reasons, it is ideal to keep a minimum distance of 20 cm.
FILLING THE OIL TANK AND LUBRICATING THE SAW CHAIN
- The electric chain saw is delivered without filled oil in the tank.
- Place the electric chain saw on a level surface so that the oil tank cap is on top.
- Clean the area around the oil tank cap with a cloth and unscrew the cap.
- Make sure there is no dirt inside the tank.
- Fill the oil tank with oil up to the "max" mark (maximum oil level). You can monitor the oil level through
the oil tank sight glass.
WARNING:
To lubricate the saw chain, use only biodegradable oil (according to the standard RAL-UZ8) to
prevent damage to the saw chain. Under no circumstances use recycled oil or used waste oil. If a non-
recommended oil is used, the product warranty will not be valid.
- Screw the oil tank cap back on.
- Let the chain saw run for 30 seconds to drain the oil.
WARNING:
There are small air ducts in the oil tank cap to bleed the oil tank. To prevent oil from leaking
when you are not working with the electric chain saw, always place it in a horizontal position with the oil
tank cap on top.
- Using an electric chain saw without oil or with a low oil level will damage it. The service life of the chain and
its cutting performance depend on the optimal lubrication of the chain. For this reason, the saw chain is
automatically lubricated with oil while the saw is in use.
WARNING:
At low temperatures, the oil thickens very much, reducing the flow of oil to the chain.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF
- Only start the electric chain saw with the guide bar, chain and chain brake fitted. Otherwise, an accident
may occur.
- Make sure that the chain brake is in the off position. You will not start the electric chain saw as long as
the chain brake is in the on position. To set the chain brake to the off position, pull it towards the engine.
- Always hold the electric chain saw with both hands, the front handle with your left hand and the rear handle
with your right hand. Always hold the handles completely with your thumbs and fingers.
- Make sure that neither the chain nor the bar touches anything and nothing can impede their free
movement.
- To switch on the electric chain saw, first press the ON / OFF safety switch of the switch and then press and
hold the ON / OFF switch.
- After starting, you can release the ON / OFF safety fuse of the switch.
- Release the ON / OFF switch to switch off the electric chain saw.
WARNING:
For safety reasons, the ON / OFF switch cannot be locked, but must remain pressed all the time
during cutting.
