- Do not use the chain saw to prune or move the wood.
- Cut only on the underside of the bar. When sawing with the upper side, the chain is pushed back in the
direction of the pillar.
- Make sure that there are no stones, nails or other foreign objects in the wood.
- Make sure that the running saw does not come into contact with the ground and wire fences.
ASSEMBLY
- Before assembling, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the mains socket to prevent it from
being started unintentionally and resulting in possible injury.
- Wear good quality gloves when assembling or replacing the chain to avoid injury from sharp chain links.
ASSEMBLY OF SAW CHAIN AND GUIDE BAR
- Only use saw chains with a link thickness of 1.3 mm.
- Carefully unpack all parts.
- Place the electric chain saw on a level surface.
- Loosen the chain tension with the tensioning screw.
- Loosen the lock nut and remove the drive gear cover.
- Insert the guide bar and place the chain on it so that the teeth of the drive sprocket fit into the links of the
chain and the lower part of the guide bar is placed in the groove.
- Place the chain around the drive sprocket and move the bar so that the pin of the tension pin fits exactly
into the hole in the bar. The pin must be visible in the hole.
- The direction of rotation of the saw chain is given by 2 arrows located on the covers of the drive gear.
- The chain must be installed on the bar so that the cutting teeth work in the same direction as the chain
runs. The teeth of the chain must point forwards at the top of the guide bar.
- Replace the drive gear cover and tighten the locking nut slightly.
- The saw chain is not taut now. Tensioning the saw chain is done according to the procedure described in
the section "Tensioning the saw chain".
SAW CHAIN TENSIONING
- The tension of the saw chain must always be checked before starting work with the electric chain saw, after
the first few cuts and approximately every 10 minutes of operation.
- Especially when using a completely new chain, its increased extensibility must be taken into account at the
beginning.
- The service life of the saw chain depends crucially on sufficient lubrication and the correct tension of the
chain during use.
- Do not tighten the saw chain when it is hot, as it will shorten after cooling and would be too tight on the
blade.
- Place the electric chain saw on a level surface.
- Turn the locking nut approx. 1-3 turns counterclockwise to release the locking of the guide rail.
- Check that the chain links fit exactly into the guide bar and the drive sprocket.
- Turn the chain tensioning screw clockwise while jumping until you reach the correct chain tension. The
latching mechanism prevents the chain tension from being released.
- The saw chain is correctly tensioned when it can be raised by approx. 5-10 mm in the middle position of
the guide bar.
- If the saw chain was too tight, turn the chain tensioning screw counterclockwise and loosen the saw chain.
- When the saw chain is tensioned, fix the guide bar by turning the locking nut clockwise. No tool is required.
OPERATION
- WARNING
! Always wear safety goggles, hearing protection, protective work gloves and suitable work
clothes!
- Only use the electric chain saw with manufacturer-approved extension cables with the prescribed
insulation and connections intended for outdoor use.
