2. Connections and operating elements
The following figure 2.1 shows the connections and operating elements of the
DC 17. The display always indicates a trend indicator

on the left and a
numerical value in the centre. The unit of measure is displayed on the right-
hand side; additional information appears at the bottom. An additional cursor
v
is indicated after pushing a key at the top of the display, pointing to a sub-
program at the display label. If this cursor flashes the subprogram is enabled.
The key functionality is similar to that of a mobile phone. Generally you can
use the „±“ key on the left-hand side to increase or decrease numerical va-
lues. Alternatively you can move the cursor

(1) at the edge of the display to
the right or to the left. Double-click on the „±“ key to change the counting di-
rection from up to down or to reverse the cursor orientation from right to left.
A single point in the centre of the display (2) indicates the inverse function.
