5.1.1 Initial commissioning
After assembly in the factory, the spray gun is tested to ensure it works cor-
rectly using a testing medium (release agent).
So that the spray foam is not affected by the testing medium, you can clean
the spray gun before it is used for the first time with a cleaning agent recom-
mended by the material manufacturer and suitable for the material.

Swap the material to be processed with the recommended cleaning
agent.

Follow the work steps in chapter “5.1.2 Cleaning before spraying”,
page 5-2.
5.1.2 Cleaning before spraying
CAUTION
Material residues which are found in the spray gun can severely affect
the functionality of the spray gun and the spray pattern.

Before starting work, clean all parts which come into contact with the
material thoroughly.
Follow the instructions in chapter “6 Cleaning, maintenance and repair”,
page 6-1.
5.1.3 Venting
To help achieve a clean spray pattern, before starting spraying the complete
spraying system (spraying device, material hose and spray gun) must be
vented.

Close the material ball valves, (Fig. 5.1).
