7.
Hold each material outlet of the manifold over
a separate container to catch the material and
open the material shut-off valve until the material
comes out cleanly and without any bubbles,
(Fig.
5.6).

8.
Close the material shut-off valves (Fig. 5.7).
9.
Clean the material outlets.
Fig. 5.7
To prevent blockages by unwanted material reactions
at the material outlets, no material outlet can come into
contact with the other component!
10.
Always slide a material sieve into each sieve hous-
ing to prevent material contamination ingress and/or
clumping in the mixing chamber.
Always match up the material sieve to each compo-
nent exactly. The sieves are colour coded, (Fig. 5.8)
:
➤
red => Iso component (Isocyanate)
➤
blue => Poly component (Polyol)
The spray gun is fitted with material sieves when it is
delivered.

Please check
:
That no contamination is sticking onto the material sieves?
Are the material sieves firmly seated in the gun body?
Is each material sieve correctly matched to the component?
Was the correct size of the material sieve selected?
A list of available sizes can be found in chapter “6.7 Cleaning the
material sieves and sieve housings”, page 6-6.
11.
Fit the manifold back onto the gun body,
(Fig. 5.9).
