6.6 Cleaning the manifold
1.
Disassemble the manifold, (Fig. 6.1).
Carry out the work steps 1 to 5 as de-
scribed in
chapter “5.1.3 Venting”,
page 5-2.

Thoroughly clean all material residue out of the material outlets using a
part cleaner.
Ensure strict component separation!

Preserve the material outlets with Vaseline or release agent. This helps
prevent the material outlets becoming clogged by crystallisation of the
material.
4.
Close the material outputs with the optionally
supplied seals and the cover plate, to prevent air
pockets forming in the manifold, (Fig. 6.2).

6.7 Cleaning the material sieves and sieve housings
Soiled or damaged material sieves can cause malfunctions in the spraying
process, such as e.g. overpressure of a component.
Clean the material sieves before starting work as well as if too large a pres-
sure differential is present between both components. For this, observe the
details contained in the operating manual for the dual component system in
use.
6.7.1 Removing the material sieve and sieve housing
1.
Disassemble the manifold, (Fig. 6.3).
Carry out the work steps 1 to 5 as de-
scribed in
chapter “5.1.3 Venting”,
page 5-2.

Pull the sieve
