3  Description of device

The WIWA 

PUGUN 4040

 is a pneumatically driven spray gun which works on 

the counterflow principle.
The spray gun is connected by a hose package to the dual component sys-

tem on the material and compressed air sides.
When the trigger is pulled, the material channels in the spray gun are 

opened – this is controlled by compressed air. 

The two components only meet in the mixing chamber with a pressure of 

up to 250 bar / 3626 psi. The mixed material is then discharged through a 

nozzle. As the mixing chamber is easy to replace, the material discharge 

quantity of the 

WIWA 

PUGUN 4040

 can be varied.

When the material flow is closed, material is prevented from accumulating 

in the mixing chamber and the nozzle by continuous purge air. This also 

prevents the nozzle becoming clogged.
Round and flat stream tip nozzles can be used.

3.1  Proper and intended use

The spray gun is suitable for processing polyurea and PUR foam as well as 

solvent-free dual-component plastics (polyurethane). 
This spray gun enables the seamless and jointless application of coatings 

and linings. 
In addition to hand-held use, the spray gun can also be used in an automati-

cally driven coating system with the optional adapter.
To get best work results, the use of the spray gun with a 

WIWA polyurea 

system is particularly recommended.
Any other use is deemed to not be intended use. 

Any other use is considered to be unintended. If you intend to use the 

spray gun for other purposes or with other materials and thus not for the 

purpose it is intended for, you must ask 

WIWA for permission – otherwise 

the warranty will be invalidated.

Intended use also includes observance of the technical documentation 

and compliance with the prescribed operating, maintenance and repair 

instructions.
