Installation and operating instructions Wilo-Sevio AIR D 21
COMMISSIONING English
2. Thoroughly clean the boreholes. e.g., vacuum out.
3. Install the anchor bolts according to manufactur-
er’s instructions. Pay special attention to drying
and curing times!
4. Attach the base support to the anchor bolt and
secure the bracket with a disc and a hexagon nut.
5. Slide two hexagon nuts onto each threaded rod,
slide on a washer each and attach a pipe clamp
with the elbow down.
5.4.5. Aligning the pipework
For problem-free aeration, the individual pipes
must be aligned exactly horizontally and all
aerator fields must be at the same height. Refer
to dimensioning for the required distance
between basin bottom and pipe support. Within
an aerator field, a maximum deviation of ±10 mm
is permissible. The exact height can be measured
and configured using a levelling device (laser).
Also consider the air distributor height when
levelling. It must be connected to the inlet pipe
distortion-free!
The two hexagon nuts are used for height adjust-
ment. For this, the top hexagon nut is used to
adjust to the desired height, while the bottom nut
is used to adjust the settings (counter nut).
5.4.6. Installing the air distributor
1.
Place the air distributor (pipe with a flange con
-
nection) in the pipe clamp of the base support
with the flange connection pointing upwards.
2. Push the air distributor towards the left or right
until the flange connection is positioned directly
below the connection flange of the inlet pipe.
Attention: The air distributor should move
easily under the inlet pipe. The two flanges
must neither jam nor may the distance between
the two flanges exceed 1 mm! The height of the
pipe support may possibly have to be adjusted.
3.
Screw the two flanges together and tighten the
screws firmly.
5.4.7. Installing the aerator pipes
Mount the aerator pipes with a T-connector and
connecting sleeves. The connection is purely
a plug connection. Place the individual aerator
pipes on the corresponding base supports.
1. Clean the outside of the pipe ends of the aera-
tor pipe as well as the inside of the connecting
sleeves or the T-connectors.
2. Check the O-rings for damage. Defective gaskets
must be replaced!
3. Wet the outside of the pipe ends of the aera-
tor pipe as well as the inside of the connecting
sleeves with a liquid soap solution
(no grease or
oil!)
.
4. Slide the connecting sleeves onto an aerator pipe
as far as they will go.
5. Slide another aerator pipe into the connecting
sleeve, also as far as it will go.
6. Continue in this manner, until you have assem-
bled the respective pipework according to the
layout plan.
7. Install the sealing plugs at the open pipe ends of
the pipework.
5.4.8.
Pipework fixation
After the complete pipework has been assem-
bled, the aerator field can be fixed on the base
supports.
1.
Ensure that the aerator field rests completely and
horizontally on the base supports. The height
of some base supports may have to be adjusted
again.
2. Fix the pipework with a second pipe clamp. Slide
it onto the anchor rod, slide on a washer and
screw two hexagon nuts on each anchor rod.
The lower hexagon allows the fixation of the pipe
clamp while the top hexagon nut secures the as-
sembly (counter nut).
5.4.9. Installing the drainage pipe (provide on-site!)
The drainage must be connected to a central
pipe. The air distributor or the connection at the
end of the aerator lines (if available) may be used
for this purpose.
The drainage pipe must be fastened outside of
the basin and fitted with a valve.
5.4.10. Installing the disc diffusers
For this purpose, connection holes must be drilled
into the existing pipework. Please refer to the
corresponding drilling pattern in the enclosed
drilling plan.
1. Clean pipework
2. Draw in bore holes according to the enclosed
drilling plan.
3.
Drill connection holes:
•
Size: 32 mm
•
Horizontal tolerance: ±5°
•
Vertical tolerance: ±1°
4. Push mounting base into the borehole on the
pipework.
5.
Blow air into the aerator field to purge borings
from the pipework with the air. For this, open the
pipework at a suitable location (preferably at the
end of the aerator lines).
6. After purging the pipework with air, close it back
up, completely!
7. Screw disc diffuser into the mounting base as far
as it goes.
6.
Commissioning
The “Commissioning” section contains all the
important instructions for operating personnel on
commissioning and operating the aeration system
safely.
The following general conditions must always be
met and checked:
•
The compressor/fan has sufficient power for the
required air supply.
• Pressure in the inlet pipe corresponds to the
specifications and remains constant.
