Setting the SNMP NMS Trap IP Address

The SNMP (System Network Management Protocol) NMS (Network Management 
System) Trap IP address identifies the IP address of the network manager. This address 
communicates all alarms or events to the network manager. The network manager can 
define the types of traps, or alarms, that will be forwarded to the IP address.

To set the SNMP NMS trap IP address

1.

From the Main Menu, select

 

IP Network Configuration

. The Network 

Configuration window is displayed.

2.

Select

 

SNMP NMS Trap IP Address

.

3.

Type the SNMP NMS Trap IP address for the unit.

4.

Press 

Enter

. The SNMP NMS Trap IP address appears in the entry field and is applied 

to the unit.
