8. Configuration via display and operating unit
8.7 Write protection
An active write protection locks the settings so that these cannot be changed via the
display and operating module nor via HART
®
. A key icon above the main display signals
that the write protection is active.
Activation/deactivation of the write protection and changing the PIN is also
possible via HART
®
.
8.7.1 Activating/deactivating the write protection
1.
Open the operating menu with [↵].
Select “Basic setting” and confirm with [↵].
2.
Select “Write protect” and confirm with [↵].
3.
Select “on/off” and confirm with [↵].
4.
Activate write protection:
Select “on” and confirm with [↵].

Write protection is activated.
Deactivate write protection:
Select “off” and confirm with [↵].
Enter PIN and confirm with [↵].
»
Write protection is deactivated.
8.7.2 Change PIN
Factory setting:
0000
1.
Open the operating menu with [↵].
Select “Basic setting” and confirm with [↵].
2.
Select “Write protect” and confirm with [↵].
3.
Select “Change PIN” and confirm with [↵].
4.
Change digit using [▲] [▼] and confirm with [↵]. The cursor
moves to the next digit. Repeat for each digit.

Pin is changed.
