The calibrator is now set for measuring “Tc”, and it select the last thermocouple type used (in this
case the last thermocouple type used was Tc, Type J with internal cold junction (active) and
temperature shown in °C.
Selecting “internal cold junction”, a Pt100 is directly connected to the TC input pins, measures the
environmental temperature; whereas by selecting “external cold junction”, the temperature value
must be inserted by using the keyboard.
Press “R” first in order to change the Cj type into external Cj type (E), then keep pressed the button
“R” (a semi triangle symbol on the bottom right corner of the button “R” appears”:
