negatively impact the performance of the system.
19. After this step is complete reconnect the tubing to the tank and allow the tank.
After following the tank sanitization procedures, allow a tank full of water to fill
and then drain.
Flushing the UF Carbon Filters for the W9 UF
1. Install the supply water line to the “tap water” port on the back of the system
2. Remove right side access panel to access filters
3. Remove the top lid
4. Remove the tubing for product water going into the tank and connect the tube to
a drain
5. Remove the UF, Bio-sure Plus and TCR filters and set aside
6. Install filter bypass plugs in each of the locations for the removed filters
7. Turn the water on for 5 minutes
a. This will flush the Pre sediment and Pre carbon filters
8. Install the Bio sure Plus filter in position 4
a. This is where you remove it from during step 5
9. Turn water on for 5 minutes
a. This will allow the Bio sure Plus filter to be flushed
10. Install the TCR post carbon filter
11. Remove all other filters and replace with filter bypass plugs
12. Switch the product and drain lines
13. Turn water on for 5 minutes
a. This will allow the TCR carbon to be reverse flushed
b. Failure to reverse flush the TCR carbon will cause carbon dust to flush into
the sediment portion of the filter which will cause carbon dust to enter into
the tank during normal operation
14. Reinstall all filter into their proper position
15. Switch back the product water and drain line
16. Turn water on for 15-20 minutes
a. This will allow the UF membrane to be flushed
b. Note: never flush tap water direction into a membrane
17. Connect the tank tubing back to the tank
18. After following the tank sanitization instructions, allow the tank to fill 1-2 times
and drain
19. Reinstall all panels
