
Filter Flushing Procedures for
Wellsys “Quick Change™” Filter Configuration
All filters and RO membranes must be flushed sufficiently prior to
installation. Summary and detailed instructions provided below.
Flushing the Purification for the W9 RO (Summary instructions)
(Full instructions with images can be found in the following section)
1. Connect the source water line to the “tap water” port on the back of the unit
2. Remove the right-side panel to access the filters
3. Cover the leak stop with a towel
4. Remove the top lid for easier access to the solenoid valve
5. Remove the tubing going into the input of the solenoid and connect this tubing
to a drain
a. Note: The solenoid and between the Pre carbon and the RO membrane
6. Turn water on for 5 minutes
a. This will flush the Pre sediment and the Pre carbon
b. After this step is complete turn the water off
7. Remove the Bio-Sure Plus filter and install in the Pre carbon position of the filter
bank
8. Turn the water on for 5 minutes
a. This will allow the Bio-sure Plus to properly flush
9. Reinstall the Bio-sure Plus in its proper position
10. Move the Sediment filter to the 2
nd
position where the Pre carbon filter is
normally installed
11. Move the TCR post filter to the 1
st
position where the Pre-Sediment is normally
installed
12. Reverse your product water and drain line to allow you to back flush the TCR
filter
13. Turn water on for 5 minutes
a. This will cause the water to flow through the Sediment filter and then
backwards through the TCR to help avoid flushing carbon into the
sediment portion of the TCR filter
14. Return all filters and lines to their original location
15. Install a drain to the RO port on the back of the unit
16. Install a secondary drain to the tubing that is connected to the input of the tank
so that the tank will not fill during the next step
17. Plug power to the system to allow the solenoid to activate
18. Turn the water on for a minimum of 30 minutes
a. This step will flush the RO and the higher TDS water out of the post filters
b. If your tap water is below 60 PSI this step may not work properly and may
