Filter Flushing Procedures for

Wellsys “Quick Change™” Filter Configuration

All  filters and RO  membranes  must be flushed sufficiently prior to

installation. Summary and detailed instructions provided below.

Flushing the Purification for the W9 RO (Summary instructions)

(Full instructions with images can be found in the following section)

1. Connect the source water line to the “tap water” port on the back of the unit

2. Remove the right-side panel to access the filters

3. Cover the leak stop with a towel

4. Remove the top lid for easier access to the solenoid valve

5. Remove the tubing going into the input of the solenoid and connect this tubing

to a drain

a. Note: The solenoid and between the Pre carbon and the RO membrane

6. Turn water on for 5 minutes

a. This will flush the Pre sediment and the Pre carbon

b. After this step is complete turn the water off

7. Remove the Bio-Sure Plus filter and install in the Pre carbon position of the filter

bank

8. Turn the water on for 5 minutes

a. This will allow the Bio-sure Plus to properly flush

9. Reinstall the Bio-sure Plus in its proper position

10. Move the Sediment filter to the 2

nd

position where the Pre carbon filter is

normally installed

11. Move the TCR post filter to the 1

st

position where the Pre-Sediment is normally

installed

12. Reverse your product water and drain line to allow you to back flush the TCR

filter

13. Turn water on for 5 minutes

a. This will cause the water to flow through the Sediment filter and then

backwards through the TCR to help avoid flushing carbon into the

sediment portion of the TCR filter

14. Return all filters and lines to their original location

15. Install a drain to the RO port on the back of the unit

16. Install a secondary drain to the tubing that is connected to the input of the tank

so that the tank will not fill during the next step

17. Plug power to the system to allow the solenoid to activate

18. Turn the water on for a minimum of 30 minutes

a. This step will flush the RO and the higher TDS water out of the post filters

b. If your tap water is below 60 PSI this step may not work properly and may
