You can also play local spots back under local control.  To do this, you again use the front panel
controls and display.  Remember that this will cause the spot to play 

immediately

.  See Fig. 3-3.

NOTE:

  A pre-scheduled ad will take priority over a manually forced ad.

1.

 

From the Time/Date screen, press <ENTER>, and then press <SELECT> 

twice

.  This

will take you to the ‘Play Local Spot’ screen.  [Play Enter] will be displayed.

2.

 

Press <ENTER> to go to the ‘Play Local Spot #’ screens.

3.

 

Pressing <SELECT> will move you from ‘Spot #1’ screen to ‘Spot #2’, etc.

4.

 

When the screen shows the number of the spot you wish to play, press <ENTER>.  This
will cause the spot to immediately play once.

5.

 

The display will also move back up to the Time/Date screen, ‘A’.

3.9 SPOT 

DELETION

 

You do 

not

 have to erase a local spot before recording a new spot in that location.  However,

there may be times when you wish to erase a spot.  In those cases, follow the instructions below.

1.

 

From the Time/Date screen, press <ENTER>, and then press <SELECT> 

three

 times.

This will take you to the ‘Delete Local Spot’ screen.  [Delete Enter] will be displayed.

2.

 

Press <ENTER> to move to the ‘Delete Local Spot #’ screens.

3.

 

Pressing <SELECT> will move you from ‘Spot #1’ screen to ‘Spot #2’, etc.

4.

 

When the screen shows the number of the spot you wish to delete, press <ENTER>.  The
spot will be deleted.  To check the results, you can go to the ‘Record’ menu, ‘Unused
Local Spots’ screen.  The number of the spot you deleted should show in the list of
unused spots, confirming that the deleted spot location is empty.

5.

 

As the spot is deleted, the display will move to the Time/Date screen, ‘A’.

3.10   SETTING SERIAL PORT PARITY

 

If you need to set the parity for the serial port, follow these instructions:

 

DO NOT CHANGE THE PARITY OF YOUR UNIT.  This could disable network control of
your unit.  The proper default parity setting is NONE.  If a parity change is needed, Muzak NOC
will instruct you as follows:

From the ‘Date/Time’ screen, press <ENTER> 

once

, and then press <SELECT> 

four

times.  This will take you to the ‘Set Parity’ screen.  [Set Parity Enter] will be displayed.
