Event : A single scheduled command (e.g. to begin playing a spot).

Fade : The gradual lowering of volume as one audio (ex. Music) “fades out,” and the
gradual raising of volume as another audio (ex. Spot) “fades in.”

Group : Indirect addressing method where a unit may be addressed along with other units
who share a similar characteristic, such as geographic location, network status, etc.
!
Local Spot : An ad recorded from unit’s MIC input by the local user.
!
Messaging unit or “ unit ”: The Diamond DX unit.
!
PC Card : PCMCIA FLASH Memory storage card.
!
Audio Processing Card : Internal audio storage/playback card.
!
Schedule : A sequence of commands which is stored in memory and then executed at a
specific time. This is used to “schedule” ads (spots) for play at specific times.

Spot
: Individual audio segment or advertisement
