For emergency recovery, Muzak Network Operations Center (NOC) can ‘Default’ unit,
which will format PC Card, unload schedules, erase EEPROM, and reset with factory
defaults. (See next section.)
1.5.2 Default Conditions
Many of the controls settings are retained in nonvolatile memory. Changes to these settings are
recorded over the old settings, and this information is retained during resets and power outages.
Most of these are preset at the factory, and are utilized at initial power-up. The default
conditions are shown below. Note that #7, Local Control, is disabled. This means that the
<ENTER> key is effectively disabled for
most functions. You can set parity, but may not make
other changes in unit conditions until Muzak NOC has been notified of successful setup. They
will then enable local control, which will then enable your front panel control.
1. Alarm Mask: Off, meaning all alarms described here are shown, not hidden.
2. Alarm screen (Front-panel) status: None (No alarms set)
3. Audio pass-thru volume: Max (0 dB attenuation)
4. Daylight Savings Observance: Yes
5. Fade: Enabled and set to 3 seconds
6. Group Table: Clear (Not a member of any group)
7. Local control: Disabled (Only monitor functions allowed)
8. MIC Gain: +10.5 dB
9. MIC Sensitivity: LOW
10. PC Card Status: Formatted, with no spots recorded
11. Schedules: Initially None; 4 maximum
12. Serial Number: 000000
