6.3 BookMaster Pro Routine Maintenance Schedule

CHECK LIST CHECKED COMMENTS / NOTES
1. Remove all staple debris etc. from inside the unit
using a magnet
2. Clean all the sensors using an airline
3. Check condition of fold rollers and clean/replace
if necessary (see section 3.2.7 ‘‘Removal and Fit-
ting of Fold Rollers’’)
4. Check all fixing screws are tightened
5. Check that the sidelays operate correctly and
smoothly.
6. Check that the staple and fold mechanism is
square (see section 3.2.4 ‘‘Staple to Fold Calibra-
tion’’)
7. Check adjustment axes are accurate i.e. the home
positions are calibrated correctly (see sections
3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3).
8. Check fold blade guide bearing bushes for wear
9. Check the top knock operates consistently and is
calibrated correctly (see section 3.3.3 ‘‘Top Jog
Belt Calibration’’)
10. Check the condition of all electrical cables.
Ensure all connectors are seated correctly
11. Check the operation of the lid safety microswitch
12. Check tacho magnet is clean and free from
debris. Check magnet head is secure
13. Check flywheel on motor is tight
