DRX INSTALLATION MANUAL
DRX INSTALLATION MANUAL
APPENDIX B - ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE FOR IP67 DRX
(CONNECTION TO TRANSDUCER)
WARNING: Ensure that the transducer has the appropriate cable fitting. There
should be a RJ45 type Tx connection and short sections of RJ-45 Cable
extending from the main cable sheath to ensure the gland can seal on the
main cable sheath.
1. Connect each of 8 Transducer RJ-45 cables in turn to the RJ-45
socket on the Discharge Module. Connection will result in the
ceramics discharging through the module.
NOTE: IP67 DRX units do not have a built in discharge port as that port is used
for Transmission)
2. Disassemble the Transducer cable gland,
then push RJ45 connectors through
the gland sections and cable cover one
by one. Continue to thread the cable
through the black gland extension
section as shown below.
NOTE: Take care not to damage the RJ45 connectors.
3. Plug in the Tx
cable first, then
follow the colour
code shown on
the DRX front
panel to plug the
remaining 7 x
RJ45s.
4. Adjust the cable
cover to mate
with DRX front
panel by aligning
both dowel pins,
then insert &
tighten the 4 Hex
screws.
Ensure the cable
cover is cleanly
mating with the
DRX front panel.
Failure to adhere
will compromise
the seal.
