5. Preparing the devices for use
Open the battery compartment and insert two AA batteries.
On/Off-switch
Set the On/Off-switch to position ON, the device is ready for use.
The Status indicator lamp flashes. Set the On/Off-switch to position
OFF, the device is switched off. The LED indicator goes out.
Power ratio display mode
The power ratio of the flash can be displayed in two different modes
via the flash trigger.
1/128~1/1:
commonly used mode for most flashes with flash
shoe mount
5.0~10:
commonly used mode for most studio flashes
You can toggle between both display modes by keeping the setting
button (SET) depressed for 2 seconds.
Changing the channel
The device has 16 channels. Set both devices for transmitting and
receiving to the same channel.
Power regulator group selection
Both the transmitter and the receiver are equipped with a control
dial with 16 possible positions for adjusting a flash group. With these
16 positions the system can be remotely controlled with respect to
the following functions in 16 flash groups. Adjusting the power ratio,
switching the audible signal and the adjusting lamp or the
AF-focussing light on/off and for flash triggering.
Fasten the receiver or receivers to one or several flashes. Make the
same power regulator adjustment on all receivers and transmitters.
Then fasten the transmitter to the flash shoe mount on the camera
or hold it in your hand. Once you have made the necessary
adjustments press the test button to trigger a flash.
NOTE
The power regulators on transmitter and receiver must have the
same setting.
6. Operating the devices
1. Setting button (
SET
)
When actuating the setting button, the receiver will transmit the
settings made on the transmitter to the flash.

Hold the setting button depressed for 2 seconds to change to the
power ratio display mode.
2. Audible signal button (
BUZZ
)
Actuate the button for the audible signal to switch the signal on
or off. If the output of a signal sound has been activated, the
display will show the symbol
