Step 2: Balancing the roll axis
6.5.3. Adjusting the centre of gravity horizontally of the
camera on the roll axis after adjusting the centre of
gravity vertically.
a) Fix the roll position by hand and hold the camera
fi rmly in a horizontal position; let it go and see whether
the camera stays in the desired position.
b) If the camera tilts left or right, loosen the roll axis
adjustment ring (fi gure) and adjust the crossbar in the
opposite direction of the crossbar until the camera
remains in the set position when you let it go.
c) As seen in the fi gure, the crossbar moves in
direction A2 if the camera is tilted in direction A1. The
crossbar should move in direction B2 if the camera is
tilted in direction B1.
c) Tighten the roll axis adjustment ring once the desi-
red changes have been made (fi gure).
Tip: The roll axis adjustment ring must be loosened
just enough so as to be able to make any adjustments
without too much effort
Step 3: Balancing the rotation axis
a) Hold the handle with the control and connector
sockets of the gimbal parallel to the ground (see
fi gure on right): Let it go and see whether the camera
remains in the set position.
b) If the camera tilts left or right, loosen the pan axis
adjustment ring (fi gure) and adjust the vertical strut in
the opposite direction until the camera remains in the
set position when you let it go.
c) Tighten the pan axis adjustment ring once the desi-
red changes have been made (fi gure).
The pan axis adjustment ring must be loosened just
enough so as to be able to make any adjustments
without too much effort
Step 4: Balancing the tilt axis
6.5.4. Setting the parameters for adjusting the camera
After balancing and, therefore, stabilising the camera,
switch on the gimbal to start the test run.
If you feel a slight vibration after switching on the
gimbal on the rotation/swivel/tilt axis, the parameters
will have to be adjusted.
