By-pass operation (free-cooling)
The free-cooling function is enabled when the machine is turned on in summer mode; in winter operation and in STD-BY
or OFF, the digital output configured as free-cooling damper will always be OFF.
With default parameters the free-cooling damper management takes place as described below:
- if the temperature detected by the recovery probe - outside air temperature > 5°, The Free - cooling is enabled ( free-
cooling damper activated)
- if the temperature detected by the recovery probe - outside air temperature < 2°, The Free - cooling is disabled (free-
cooling damper deactivated)
Frost protection operation
The frost protection function is enabled if the manchine is working in Winter mode; the probe used for this function is the
exhaust probe.
When the temperature drops below 0° , the flow rate of the supply fan will be reduced by one step (if it was speed 2 it will
be forced to speed 1).
When the exhaust temperature rises above 5° the fans will go back to the manually selected speed.
The frost protection function will persist for at least 5 minutes.
Filter alarm
If the fans are working , the counting operation for filter alarm is active ; after 2000 hours of fan working, the controller will
signal the need to clean filters without blocking the fans.
If the alarm is not resetted after 48 hours from the reporting , the unit will also block the operation of the fans.
