16. Auto Power Off Function
The DMM turns off automatically after 15 minutes if no button or rotary control is operated. This function protects the
battery, saves battery power and extends the operating time.
To reactivate the DMM after automatic shutdown, use the rotary control or press any button (apart from the low imp
button (9)).
The Auto-Power-Off function is deactivated when the interface is activated so that the data connection is not inter-
rupted. This function remains inactive until the interface is switched off again.
17. optical Interface
An optically isolated interface is located at the back of the meter. It serves to transfer data to a computer for further
processing.
The data link can be made with an optional data cable (USB) with a free interface on your computer.
Slide the interface cover (11) off of the casing upwards. Align the wedge-shaped adapter of the optional interface
cable flush with the housing groove (11) at the meter from above.
The interface is switched off in normal operation. To activate it, keep the “REL/PC” button pressed for 2 seconds
when the DMM is switched on. Activation is indicated by the interface symbol and a short beep. For deactivating,
keep the “REL/PC” button pressed for approx. 2 s or switch off the DMM.

18. Display Illumination
The display can be lighted in low light. Lighting turns of automatically after approx. 10s.
For switching it on, press the “LIGHT” button (10) for approx. 2 s. For switching off the lighting early, keep the “LIGHT”
button pressed again for approx. 2 s or switch off the DMM.
