16. LOW IMPEDANCE 400 K
FUNCTION
This function must only be used for voltages up to 600 V and only up to 3
seconds!
This function enables reducing the measuring impedance from 10 M
ȍ
to 400 k
ȍ
in the voltage
measuring range. By reduction of the measuring impedance, possible phantom voltages that may
falsify the measuring result are suppressed.
Press this button (11) during voltage measurement (max. 600 V!) for no more than 3 seconds. After
release, the multimeter returns to the normal measuring impedance of 10 M
ȍ
. While the button is
pressed, a signal sounds and the display “WARNING!” appears.
17. COMPARATIVE MODE (COMP-MODE)
In comparative measurement, the main display will show the measured voltage. The top threshold
(MAX) and the bottom (MIN) threshold setting will be shown on the small upper display. The threshold
determination (inner / outer) will light up to indicate the threshold setting and the status will be shown
by the NG / PASS on the screen.
To set the threshold and determination:
1. Press and hold the LOAD / SETUP button (13) for approximately 2 seconds. The indication
“SETUP” will light up, indicating the DMM is in setup mode.
The threshold setting does not carry any unit. The actual value of the threshold is determined
by the range setting during the measurement.
2. Now set the top threshold for comparative mode. Use the
Ÿ
/ PASS BEEP button and
ź
/ NG
BEEP button to change the value, and use the
Ż
/ + button and
Ź
/ – button to shift the digit.
3. Press the LOAD / SETUP button (13) to confirm the top threshold setting and set the bottom
threshold. Use the
Ÿ
/ PASS BEEP button and
ź
/ NG BEEP button to change the value, and use
the
Ż
/ + button and
Ź
/ – button to shift the digit.
4. Press the LOAD / SETUP button (13) to confirm the bottom threshold setting and set the threshold
determination (inner / outer). Use the
Ż
/ + button and
Ź
/ – button to change it between “inner”
and “outer”.
If “inner” is selected, the indication “PASS” will show when the measured value falls between the
top and bottom threshold; otherwise, “NG” will show on the screen.
If “outer” is selected, the indication “PASS” will show when the measure value falls outside the top
and bottom threshold; otherwise, “NG” will show on the screen.
5. Press and hold the LOAD / SETUP button (13) for approximately 2 seconds to confirm the
setting.
6. The DMM will return to normal mode.
