The system network
Key
The interface for networking the vehicle with the camping body is the control unit for special vehicles J608.
It handles a large part of the control of the camper-specific consumers. Depending on the function, the J608
processes the signals of the multifunction inputs or controls the multifunction outputs to the camping
consumers. The SSM CAN bus is used as the bus connection between the control unit for special vehicles J608
and the camping body. The control unit for special vehicles J608 and the display and operating unit for camping
equipment can thus communicate directly with each other.
The control unit for background lighting J1124 is also a participant of the SSM CAN bus.
The CI bus was developed especially for data exchange for caravanning applications. The CI bus is LIN data bus
used by a large number of manufacturers of caravanning accessories.
The CI bus enables non-proprietary standardisation of communication.
