8.1. USB Communication Settings
You can, e.g., use the
HyperTerminal
communication software for communication
using a USB port connected as a virtual COM port. To set communication select
the following parameters:
Transmission rate: 921600 bps
Data bits:
8
Parity:
none
Stop bits:
1
Flow control:
none
8.2. Terminal Communication
The terminal is also part of the GSM configuration software. To start the terminal
use
Functions – Other functions – Terminal
from the main menu. Be sure to
configure the GSM program properly for communication (refer to Subs. 1.3,
Functions
).
8.3. GSM Gateway Behaviour
The gateway behaves like an ANSI terminal with an echo. The commands are
entered in the text format and the X-modem protocol is used for file transfer. The
gateway responses with the “OK” message after the login to the gateway. If not,
type:

and press <ENTER> key. In case the gateway is correctly connected, the
gateway responses by the „OK“ message. There is possible to set username and
password to ensure better security of the gateway. The gateway responses with the
message shown in the Fig. 36 if the login name is required. After entering of your
login name press <ENTER> and after that enter the password.
