The vLoc-5000 is a Precision Location System designed to meet the needs of Utility Companies and their
contractors. The following describes the features and use of the receiver.

Distance Sensitive Left/Right Guidance™ Display
The Left/Right display is tremendously useful in refining the precise location of the target line. The vertical
green bar represents the underground utility and when shown on the left of centerline it indicates the target is
also to the left.
Distance Sensitive Left/Right Guidance
Using Vivax-Metrotech’s Distance Sensitive Left/Right Guidance feature, the deflection distance of the
vertical black bar away from the center of the display is proportional to the distance off center from the
underground line. Although this is strictly true only when the field is free of distortion, the Left/Right display
still plays an important role in sorting out what is going on in the underground utility environment.
