Receiver Installation & Setup
7.1.
Before You Connect
See the Installation, Safety and Compliance Information supplied with your
product for full installation instructions.
7.2.
Connecting the Receiver
After the receiver has been installed, connect the relevant signal and power
cables at the rear panel of the receiver, see
Section4 Rear Panel Connectors
details.
Power Cable - connect the ac power IEC cable to the rear panel and plug in to
the available power supply.
RF Cables – connect the RF BNC inputs from the down-converters to the relevant
option cards (for Stream Adaption usage). The cards and connections required will
depend on the licenses purchased.
Genlock - connect coax connector to the video synchronisation source.
ASI IN/ASI OUT- connect coax connectors to Transport Stream source/
destination.
Video Output – connect the HD-BNC connectors from the SFP modules in the
required configuration for either 4x 3G SDI, 2x 6G SDI or 1x 12G SDI out for local
viewing or production of the video input.
Monitor Output – connect the HD-BNC connectors from the SFP modules in the
required configuration for either 4x 3G SDI, 2x 6G SDI or 1x 12G SDI out for local
viewing or production of the video input.
Audio Output – connect the Lemo connectors for stereo monitoring of audio.
Focal Point – connect the Lemo connector for wireless camera control.
Return Data – connect the 15-way D-type connector(s) for OCP, user data or Tally
usage.
WAN/LAN – connect the Ethernet connector(s) for web browser or network
management usage.
LAN/LAN (PoE) – connect Ethernet connectors(s) to the local area network to
enable video transmission/reception via the internet.
7.3.
Powering Up the Receiver
To power up the receiver:
1.
Ensure all signal and power cables are connected as required (see above).
2.
Switch on the ac power supply to the unit at the wall or rack outlet.
NOTE: The receiver is NOT fitted with a power on/off (I/O) switch.
3.
Wait for receiver initialization to complete before attempting to use the
front panel menus and controls. This will take approximately 2 minutes,
depending on the options fitted.
7.4.
Setting the Unit IP Address
Setting the IP address of the receiver is accomplished using the front panel
display. This will need to be done before you can access the receiver using the
web browser GUI.
