UDP

The Settings>Stream>UDP tab specifies the settings for streaming using the
User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

UDP is fast and is frequently used for time-sensitive applications such as online
gaming or live broadcasts where perceived latency is more critical than packet
loss. Packets, are sent to the recipient, the sender does not wait to make sure
the recipient received them; it continues sending the more packets. This is
sometimes called a “best effort” service.

Settings>Stream>UDP

The UDP tab specifies the settings for UDP streaming:

UDP Settings



Create New UDP Stream – clicking on this button enables the creation of a new
UDP streaming connection.



UDP Stream List – displays the status of the stream and the output URL.
Streaming connections may be deleted by clicking on the

icon or modified by

clicking on the edit

icon. This enables changes to be made to the host

address and port, as well as enabling/disabling the streaming output and FEC.

Changes may be saved by clicking on the

icon or deleted by clicking on the

icon.
