Settings>Network>ActiveDirectory
The Active Directory panel enables ActiveDirectory access to be configured.
The settings will not be actioned until the Save button has been clicked:
ActiveDirectory Setting
Enabled – enables/disables access to the ActiveDirectory. When enabled the login
page enables the user to log in with their company’s email and password.
Custom groups can be created, enabled, disabled and removed. These groups can
then be assigned to individual users in the accounts page.If the user belongs to
the All group or any enabled group at the time of logging in, the system will
allow access.
LDAP URL – specifies the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) URL for
the ActiveDirectory domain name server (must include the prefix ldap:// in the
field). The LDAP URL can be acquired in Windows using the following command:
nslookup-type=all_ldap._tcp
Base DN – specifies the point (Distinguished Name) from where the server will
search for users. Domain Components specify the ActiveDirectory domain (not
case-sensitive), example: dc=xg,dc=local.
