I. INTRODUCTION
The
THERMOFLASH® LX-360
is a revolutionary infra-red medical thermometer, fitted with cutting edge
MicroSecondFlash™ automatic calibration technology, developed by
Visiomed®
.
Easy to use, it reads your body temperature from a distance of 5 to 8 cm in less than a second. Fast and accu-
rate, all you have to do is position the
ThermoFlash®
toward the forehead to instantly see the temperature.
ThermoFlash®
is especially effective for taking the temperature of babies and small children. It has been
demonstrated that for new-born children, taking the temperature via the temporal artery is more ac-
curate than taking it aurally, and less distressing than via the rectum
*
.
ThermoFlash®
can be used at any age.
ThermoFlash®
can also be used to check the temperature of the bath, food, or ambient temperature.

II. PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE BEFORE USE
The parameters for the
THERMOFLASH® LX-360
are set at the factory. It is not necessary to calibrate the
thermometer during start-up.
In order to guarantee a reliable and stable result, we advise when moving to an environment of a very
different temperature, to leave your
THERMOFLASH® LX-360
at this ambient temperature for 15-20
minutes before use. Before taking the next temperature, wait for the screen to switch off. You cannot
take a temperature while the screen is lit up.
III. USE
Every solid, liquid or gaseous body emits energy by radiation. The intensity of this energy depends on
the temperature of the object. The infra-red thermometer
THERMOFLASH® LX-360
can in this way read
a person’s temperature by the quantity of energy he or she emits. This is possible thanks to the external
temperature probe which constantly analyzes and records the ambient temperature. This means that as
soon as the operator sets the thermometer close to the body and activates the heat sensor, the reading
THERMOFLASH® LX-360
is clinically tested and approved ASTM 1965-1998 (2009).
