IP-alias using the web
To use IP-Aliases, enter a name for the alias and click Add. This name will be assigned
to the alias section for this IP-alias. In this example the name ethalias1 is used.

Web Field/UCI/Package Option
Description
UCI: network.<alias name>=ifname
Opt: config interface ‘aliasname’
Assigns the alias name.
UCI: network.<alias name>.interface
Opt: interface
This maps the IP-Alias to the interface.
UCI: network.<alias name>.proto
Opt: proto
This maps the interface protocol to the alias.
