AFTER USE IN WATER
1. Rinse the suit exterior with fresh water.
2. Hang the suit to dry on a wide hanger and allow
to air.
3. When the immersion suit is dry, repack the
immersion suit in accordance with instructions or
keep it on a wide hanger.
10. PACKING THE SUIT (FIGURE 10)
1. Place the suit flat on the floor. Unzip.
2. Fold up the feet up to the crotch.
3. Fold the legs up over the feet.
4. Fold the sleeves across the chest.
5. Place the suit into the bag.
11. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Store the suit in a cool, dark and dry place.

This suit system will not turn an unconscious user to the
face-up position.
13. DONNING INSTRUCTION (FIGURE 13)
1. Remove hood and footwear.
2. Don the suit - legs first.
3. Zip the front zipper.
a) Put on the hood.
4. Clip the D-ring into the snap hook across the chest.
5. Don the gloves.
6. Inflate the auxiliary means of buoyancy before
jumping into the water.
7. Jump into the water - feet first.
Turn onto your back.
If necessary switch on the locating light.
14. INFLATION OF AUXILIARY MEANS OF BUOYANCY
The inflation of the auxiliary means of buoyancy may be
effected in two ways:
Manual inflation:
The auxiliary means of buoyancy inflates by a strong
pull of the activation handle on the right side.
Oral inflation:
Open the protective cover and blow air into the oral
inflation tube.
Warning
Although it has been tested to withstand excess pressure,
DO NOT ever inflate the auxiliary means of buoyancy by
mouth prior to automatic or manual inflation.
15. MAINTENANCE, INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Maintenance is an important factor for your safety.
1. The immersion suits should be checked monthly
in accordance with IMO MSC/Circ.1047.
2. The suit should be inspected at an approved
servicing station every third year at a minimum
according to IMO MSC/Circ. 1114. Repairs should
be carried out by an approved servicing station. If
the suit is wet frequently it should be handed in
for service once a year.

Checking the auxiliary means of buoyancy
Check that the auxiliary means of buoyancy is
undamaged.
1. The auxiliary means of buoyancy can be inflated
orally and repacked as described under packing.
2. Open the protective cover and check the inflator:
a: The green indicator must be visible.
b: The auxiliary means of buoyancy is to be
equipped with an 18 g CO
2
-cylinder.
c: The opening of the CO
2
-cylinder must not
be perforated – check that it is intact by
unscrewing the CO
2
-cylinder.
3. Check the oral inflation valve and tube.
6. Close the protective cover.
The activation handle must be visible outside the cover of
the auxiliary means of buoyancy.
Important
If the auxiliary means of buoyancy it is not intact DO NOT
use the immersion suit.
