This screen allows you to add a site, edit an existing site or delete a site. Because the same screen is being
used for third party cameras, some cameras may already be in the list.
To add a VN-957 camera
1. Click
the
button on the
Third party site settings
screen. After the search
has completed, the detected cameras are displayed and are added automatically to the list.
Note: The camera will only be detected if they are on the same LAN as the PC. Cameras that are not on the
LAN have to be added manually. See procedure below.
2. A message will display to add a User Name and Password for each detected site. The User Name and
Password for this camera are the camera’s identity in its browser. It is recommended that the user be
administrator level to be able to access all camera features. After being named, the camera can be
activated. Click on the camera. Click the
button.
3. The Site Details area will become enabled.
4. Enter a Site Name for this camera and select IP or DNS. (DNS is used to add the camera by its
hostname on the network instead of its IP address and is only available if the camera is registered in the
DNS.).
