Chapter 4 Data Testing
TrueSpeed testing
The optional TrueSpeed test provides a repeatable, standards-
based test methodology to resolve complaints about poor
network performance. Its Download/ Upload rate is up to
2 Gbps for Ethernet. With TrueSpeed, you can quickly evaluate
the customer experience of their network and provide actionable
information to resolve problems.
Based on the IETF RFC 6349 TCP throughput testing methodology,
TrueSpeed provides metrics that can be used to tune TCP
parameters for obtaining maximum throughput.
Before you begin
Once you have your profile setup through Profile Manager,
you can run the test. Make sure the test is enabled in the
profile, as well.
