Using your Vertu phone
Checking your own phone number
The following shortcut can be used from the Home screen to quickly check
your own phone number.
1. Press the [Joystick] key (Centre) once, and then press the [ 0 ] key.
Or, you can also check your own phone number from the following menu:

Using the Go to application
When you have not changed the default configuration after you first received
your Vertu phone, you can use the
Go to
shortcut application assigned to the
[Joystick] key (Right) to manage a list of shortcuts.
For example, assume that you will often use Alarm and Calendar. You do
not have to remember in which layer of the menu (page 28) these functions
have been assigned. You can quickly select
Alarm clock
or
Calendar
from
the shortcut list, simply after pressing the [Joystick] key (Right) once from
the Home screen.
When your Vertu phone leaves our workshop, the following functions have
been assigned in the shortcut list. This list also can be customised.
To customise the Go to shortcut list:
1. From the Home screen, press the [Joystick] key (Right).

The
Go to
application starts and the shortcut list is displayed.
2. Select
Options
»
Select options
.

The functions that can be added or removed to/from the Go to list are listed
with checkboxes.
3. Use the [Joystick] key to uncheck the boxes for the functions to be
removed from the Go to list and check the boxes for those to be added
to the list.
>
When you find a folder on the checkbox list, you can open the folder by
placing the cursor to it and then pressing the [Joystick] key (Centre). To also
add or delete the shortcuts within the folder, check or uncheck the boxes as
necessary. When ready, select
Done
to return to the previous screen.
4. Select
Done
, and then
Yes
when a confirmation message appears.

The changed settings are saved and you will return to the main screen of the
Go to
shortcut list.

Confirm that the list no longer contains the functions removed in Step 3 and
that the added functions are displayed at the bottom of the list.
5. To change the display order of any function added in Step 3, move the
cursor to it and select
Options
»
Organise
»
Move
.
6. Move the cursor up or down, and then press
OK
.
7. Select
Done
»
Yes
.
Auto sorting function of the Go to application
By enabling the Auto sorting function, you can set up the
Go to
shortcut
menu so that it automatically customises itself to your needs.
By default, this function is not enabled. To enable it, press the [Joystick]
key (Right) from the Home screen to display the
Go to
shortcut menu, and
then select
Options
»
Auto sorting on
. To disable it again, select
Options
»
Auto sorting off
when the
Go to
shortcut menu is displayed.

Depending on the SIM card in use, this function may not work.
