Status indicators
When your Vertu phone is switched on, the following indicators appear at
the top of the display.
Status icons
Status icons appear in the status bar (just below the status indicators
mentioned above) and display the status of various features of your Vertu
phone. The most commonly displayed icons are shown below.
This icon shows the signal strength when your Vertu
phone is used through a 3G (WCDMA) network. It
appears at the top left of the display. When using a
GSM connection,
appears. Or, if high-speed data
communication is possible using HS packet
access,
or
appears instead of
.
This picture shows a strong signal.
This picture shows that the signal strength is weak.
(In this case, the signal icon is displayed in yellow, or
is displayed in red when you are out of signal range).
To obtain a stronger signal, move to an area clear of
obstructions that might otherwise block the signal.
This indicator displays the level of the battery charge.
It appears at the top right of the display.
This picture shows a fully charged battery.
This picture shows that the battery charge level is
low. (In this case, the battery charger icon is
displayed in yellow or red). You will need to recharge
your Vertu phone soon.
You have one or more unread messages. (When this icon is
revolving on the display, your Vertu phone is downloading the
message(s) from the network.)
You have a voice message waiting (may not be shown on all
networks).
You have missed a call. (This icon is displayed in red.)
Making a call, receiving an incoming call or a call is in progress.
When a call is in progress or placed on hold, the following icons
also appear in the on-screen note:
(green): Call in progress
(orange): Call on hold
Loud speaker is on.
The keypad is locked.
An alarm is set.
Bluetooth is switched on (
appears when data is being
transmitted back and forth with other Bluetooth devices).
Connected to headset. (When a Bluetooth headset is connected,
also appears.)
Packet transfer is active (connected to the Internet, with packet
communication in an active state).
Or, appears when high-speed data communication is possible
using HS packet access.
Your Vertu phone has completed terminal registration onto the
network, and is ready to begin packet transfer at any time. (Not
connected to the Internet yet.)

USB connection is in use.
Synchronising data with another phone, PC or remote storage
server, etc.
Your Vertu phone is currently set not to ring for Call divert/
forwarding or Voicemail services.
Accurate time not available.
