4.7.2 MEMU (Memory Expansion Module Unit)

Description

MEMU is equipped with Nand Flash memory used to expand the storage capacity of the
SUMMIT IP Voice Mail by 15 hours. As with the basic and VVMU storage, MEMU storage
is non-volatile and any messages are stored even if power to the SUMMIT IP is lost.

As shown in Figure 4.7.3-1 below, the MEMU has a single connector for mounting on
CN15 of the SUMMIT IP KSU MBU. The MEMU has no other connectors, LEDs or
switches.

4.7.3 MEMU2 (Memory Expansion Module Unit2)

Description

MEMU2 is equipped with Nand Flash memory used to expand the storage capacity of the
SUMMIT IP Voice Mail by 60 hours. As with the basic and VVMU storage, the MEMU2
storage is non-volatile and any messages are stored even if power to the SUMMIT IP is
lost.

As shown in Figure 4.7.4-1 below, MEMU2 has a single connector for mounting on CN15
of the SUMMIT IP KSU MBU. The MEMU2 has no other connectors, LEDs or switches.
