2. Mount the outer case on the ceiling, wall, or electrical box. Use the four round holes (if
the camera goes on the ceiling or wall) or the four elliptical holes (for an electrical box).
In doing so, align the FRONT/UP position mark on the metal rim inside the outer case
with the shooting direction (if on the ceiling) or with the ceiling (if on a wall).
The mounting screws are not supplied. Use the following specifications:

The height of their head should be less than 3 mm (0.12 inch).

The hole diameter is 3/16 inch (4.5 mm).

Do not use flathead screws.
3. Hang the free end of the fall prevention wire to the hook inside the outer case.
4. Connect the alarm wires (see page 33).
5. Perform the power supply connection, either 12V DC or PoE (see page 22).
6. If the camera uses 12V DC, establish its Ethernet connection by plugging a cable
(straight-through or crossover) between the RJ-45 connector at the end of the network
cable and an Ethernet device.
The crossover cable directly connects the IP camera to a computer; use a
straight-through cable to connect the IP camera to a hub or a switch for integration
with the network.
7. Wrap insulation tape around the cables and wires.
Note: If you use an impact screwdriver, do not tighten the screws fully. Use your
hand instead. Failure to do so may damage the outer case.
