Special destinations (POIs)
You may also input the destination address by selecting special facilities (POI = Points
of Interest) stored in the database. These include e.g.:

airports,
❑
hotels,
❑
petrol stations,
❑
car repair garages,
❑
car parks, etc.
Depending upon the information already entered in the destination input screen, a list
of general interest facilities appears which are present on the current map CD.

If a POI is entered as a destination, this will only be supported if the map CD is in-
serted.

Selecting special facilities and adopting them as the destination

Select “Spec. dest.” in the
“DESTINATION INPUT” menu.
The “Spec. dest.” menu provides the following options for entering a destination:

Car position
: Special facilities in the vicinity of the current position.

The facilities displayed are sorted in accordance with the distance from the car’s po-
sition.
The linear direction to the facility is also shown.

Destination
: Special facilities in connection with the destination.
❑
Nationwide
: Special facilities of national importance.

Select one of the three town criteria described.

A list of the categories of special facilities is shown.

Select the required category (e.g. Hotel, Petrol station…).

If more than four facilities are stored for the selected category, the “typewriter”
will be displayed.

For up to four stored facilities, the list will appear immediately.

Enter the name of the desired facility or select a list entry.
