Driving and operation

Towing equipment

Only use a trailer towing device approved

for the vehicle. Have a towing device fitted

by workshop, who will inform you of any

possible trailer load increases. They will

have the instructions for fitting the device

and any necessary changes to the vehicle

concerning cooling, heat shields or other

devices.

Mounting dimensions of towing

equipment – see page 297.

Towing equipment with

removable coupling ball bar

Stowage of coupling ball bar

The coupling ball bar is stored in a bag

strapped to the spare wheel.

Fitting the coupling ball bar

Compress the sealing plugs at the ends

and pull out of the opening for the coupling

ball bar. Stow the sealing plugs in the

luggage compartment. Disengage socket

and fold down

Warning

Disregard of these notes can lead to

injuries which may be fatal. Vehicle

passengers should be informed

accordingly.

Warning

The coupling ball bar is to be removed

when not towing.
