2 Choosing an Installation Site
2.2 ∙ Specifications∙for∙Electrical∙Installation∙
These specifications are based on the MEIGaN (Medical electrical installation guidance notes).
Consult the companion manual for further information.

2.3 Electrical Requirements
If connected to an MPSO, the PC and equipment must use the same power
line.
Whenever possible, use different power outlets for each device. If a
multiple portable socket outlet (MPSO) must be used, ensure that the PC
and equipment are connected to the same MPSO.
This∙equipment∙must∙be∙connected∙to∙a∙grounded∙outlet∙to∙fulfill∙the∙safety∙
provisions∙specified∙in∙IEC∙60364:∙the∙2nd∙edition∙(2006).
Use a dedicated power outlet for the power cord. Failure to do so may
result∙in∙unstable∙system∙operation∙caused∙by∙power∙fluctuations.
It is strongly recommended that you install an AVR. An AVR (automatic
voltage regulator) maintains a constant voltage and allows for continuous
operation∙in∙the∙event∙of∙power∙fluctuation.
