7.2 Standard control cabinet set-up position
•
The control cabinet must not be mounted to the shredder itself.
•
The installation of the control cabinet (i.e. to a wall) must be executed in such a way as to ensure
that the operating switches and buttons are at a minimum height of 60 cm from the floor and a
maximum height of 180 cm.
•
The control cabinet and its operating elements must be kept completely and freely accessible at
all times! For the purpose of maintenance it is essential to be able to open the control cabinet
doors completely!
•
The control cabinet with the emergency shut-down switch/button must be set up on the shaded
surface according to the diagram! The operation element face of the control cabinet must be set
up facing the charging/loading section of the shredder.
•
If the standard set-up position is not possible at least one extra emergency shut down
switch/button must be mounted to the shredder.
•
All emergency shut-down buttons and switches must be kept openly and easily accessible at all
times.
•
All dangerous parts of the shredder must be clearly visible from the control cabinet! If this is not
possible an audible or visible warning signal must be installed.
•
The cabinet must be mounted in a location free of, and protected from, direct humidity,
dampness or water, and which is within a temperature range of -5 °C to +40 °C.
•
The necessary cable/lead length must be checked on order placement, according to control
cabinet positioning (standard cable/lead length: 4m).
•
Cables, leads and connections between the control cabinet and the shredder must be laid in a
protected environment (i.e. cable duct).
