LASER MATERIAL PROCESSING OVERVIEW 

Processing materials on the ULTRA X6000 Laser System is a simple five-step procedure outlined in 

the diagram below. This section details each step including term definition, procedures, and best 

practices.

ULTRA X6000 LASER SYSTEM MANAGER 

The software that runs the ULTRA X6000 Laser System is the Laser System Manager (LSM). It handles 

all aspects of importing, planning, arranging, organizing, and running design files to completion. 

Design File Creation

Create and export design data to compatible design file 

format

Control File Creation

Create control file by importing design file into LSM

Process Creation

Create processes in the control file

Process Assignment

Assign raster and vector data to desired processes

Material Loading and Processing

Load material and begin laser material processing
