2.6. Options.

2.6.1. Additional Audible Signals.

Additional audible signals can be added to the Notification Appliance Circuit

(NAC) of the

STANDPIPE-

PAC™

unit to permit hearing the alarm throughout the facility. Consult Appendix A of

this manual for further information. See Paragraph 3.3.5.5 for installation instructions.

2.6.2. Off-Site Signaling Via Dialer.

The

STANDPIPE-

PAC™

control unit is equipped with a built-in dialer for off-site

signal notification. See Appendix D for proper hookup of telephone lines for this purpose.

IMPORTANT

Signals from the

STANDPIPE-

PAC™

unit are NOT fire alarm signals. UNITED Fire Systems recommends that all

devices connected to the Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) of the

STANDPIPE-

PAC™

unit

be clearly differentiated from any fire alarm signals present in the building.
