5.1.7 - RADIO CONTROL PRECAUTIONS, TIPS
AND POSITIONING
Precautions and tips:
•
During long periods of non-use, it is recommended to re-
move the batteries.
•
When using the radio control, it is recommended to aim it
at the signal receiver of the stove.
•
When not in use, we recommend storing the radio control
in the wall holder provided.
•
Handle the radio control carefully, avoiding shocks and
blows.
•
Do not leave the radio control in a place directly exposed
to sunlight or near a heat source.
•
The quality of the receiving signal may be affected by other
IR sources.
Positioning:
•
Use the appropriate wall holder, placing it in the room or
place where the stove is to be installed.
•
Avoid placing the holder close to the stove and the heat
generated by it.
•
Avoid placing the holder near draughts or other sources of
cold air such as windows, doors, etc.
•
Avoid placing the holder on particularly cold walls (thermal
bridges).
•
It is advisable to fix the holder at a height of 1.5 m above
the floor, to avoid staggered measurements due to cold air
settling at the bottom.
5.1.8 - RADIO CONTROL: TUNING
The radio control is a device that transmits via radio waves,
so there is no need to point it at the receiver unit on the stove.
In an open environment, the radio control's range extends to
approximately 10 metres. If there are walls or other obstacles,
the range may be reduced by a few metres.
The radio control is already tuned to the stove's circuit board
thanks to the company's production process.
Sometimes, however, tuning between the radio control and
the stove's circuit board is necessary. This operation may be
necessary when: the data communication channel between the
board and the radio control is interrupted, the radio control is
replaced, interference is created between other appliances and
the stove, or when the display of the radio control indicates
FIELD SEARCH.
In such circumstances,
FIELD SEARCH will appear on the
display.
To perform the operation, proceed as follows:
-
Switch off the power supply to the stove by turning the
rear switch to position “0”
-
Press buttons 5 and 7 simultaneously: RADIO ID 0#
will appear.
-
Use scroll button 4 to select NEW UNIT and confirm
with button 7.
-
Select the ID value with buttons 3 and 4 from 0 to 63 (
default ID=0 ).
-
Switch the power supply to the stove by turning the
rear switch to position “1”
-
Within 10 seconds after power is applied, confirm ID
entry by pressing button 7. In quick succession the text
UNIT LOADED will appear and then the stove status
display to confirm the acquisition.
ATTENTION:
If the text FIELD SEARCH, ap-
pears, tuning was unsuccessful and the proce-
dure will have to be repeated.
