4.9 - NOTES FOR PROPER
FUNCTIONING
For the pellet stove to function properly, the following instruc-
tions must be observed:
Both when the stove is in operation and when it is not in use, all
doors (pellet hopper, door, ash pan) must remain closed at all
times. They may only be opened for the time required for fuel
loading and maintenance.
Failure to comply with any of the above observations during
operation will cause the alarm to appear on the display:
'DEP AL'
NB: moreover, in products certified as hermet
-
ically sealed, this indicates that the pellet lid
has been open for more than 30 seconds with
the stove in operation.
4.10 - STOVE SAFETY DEVICES
The product is designed and built to ensure maximum safety in
use thanks to a number of safety devices built into the product
itself.
It is forbidden to tamper with or bypass safety
devices, under penalty of risk of product mal-
function and non-recognition of the warranty.
4.10.1 - FLUE GAS EXHAUST SAFETY
In normal operation, the combustion chamber is under vacu-
um, ensuring that it is sealed off from any smoke leakage into
the environment. If this condition is not met or the flue gas out
-
let is obstructed, the pressure switch detects the lack of vacu-
um inside the combustion chamber and through the electronic
control interrupts operation of the feeding screw rotation motor,
notifying the user of the anomaly with a message on the panel
board
’NO VACUUM AL’
.
In this case, the smoke extractor and/or room fan continue to
operate, allowing rapid cooling of the appliance until it is com-
pletely switched off.
After shutdown, check what caused the safety device to trip by
means of the instructions in the chapter ANOMALIES or also
with the help of the authorised service network, reset the alarm
by holding down the ON/OFF key on the display for a few sec-
onds, and if positive, restart the stove as per normal procedure.
4.10.2 - OVERPRESSURE SAFETY IN
COMBUSTION CHAMBER
Any and/or sudden overpressure of the combustion fumes in-
side the combustion chamber is discharged through the open-
ing of the safety valves located above the heat exchanger. Dur-
ing normal operation, the valve is closed by its own weight and
by the thrust of two suitably calibrated springs and the negative
pressure of the chamber, ensuring that it is sealed against pos-
sible smoke leakage.
If the overpressure safety device is tripped, proceed with the
shutdown of the product. After shutdown, check what caused
the safety device to trip by means of the instructions in the
chapter ANOMALIES or also with the help of the authorised
service network and if positive, restart the stove as per normal
procedure.
Periodically check the closure, the integrity of
the device and its operation.
