7. PREPARATORY/ ADJUSTMENT ACTIONS
Before proceeding to work perform few preparatory/ adjustment actions. It is necessary for the
proper operation of the wrapping machine.
7.1. Setting the draught bar
The TWISTER wrapping machine is equipped
with a hydraulically resettable draught bar (1).,
Hydraulic cylinder (2) is responsible for its
movement, allows to reset the draught bar from
transport position to the operating position and
back. It is operated from the controller, what is
discussed in details later on in the manual. Be-
fore resetting the draught bar into its operating
position, the machine must be hooked to the tractor through the ear of the hitch (3) and
the support (4) must be raised up and people should not stay near the machine. The draught bar
must be set into the operating position before starting to work.

The draught bar in the transport position:
Fig. 10, presents the machine with draught bar set in its transport position.
It is used for maneuvering and machine transportation on field and public
roads. That configuration allows to pull the wrapping machine
directly behind the tractor. Track of the machine is the same as tractor
s’.

The draught bar in the operating position:
Fig. 11, presents the wrapping machine with the draught bar in its
operating position. That configuration allows to pull the machine behind
the tractor on its RH side. The machine track is parallel to the
tractors’.
It allows for comfortable driving on the bales located on field.
Never use this configuration to transport the machine.
