Below is the process of updating a "wav" voice file corresponding to
the message "Welcome.wav". To do this, we must open the
command line window in Windows or "Command Prompt",
available in the Accessories menu and follow the steps below:
- If an error occurs when entering the password, as in this example:
When using the FTP server the GD-36 must be in
STOP mode
. It will prevent errors during data update and will not slow
down the data update speed.
In order to perform a remote update from the Internet (outside the local network) the external
TCP ports (20, 21)
must be
redirected to the internal
TCP ports (20, 21)
at the MANUAL IP address which we have previously configured the GD-36
and allow the FTP protocol in the FIREWALL/Antivirus. To perform this task it will be necessary to contact the administrator
of your local network.
It is not allowed to upload files with a name longer than 8 characters excluding the 4 characters of the extension (.mp3,
.wav or .bin).
It should be noted that in the case of MP3 files, the GD-36 will use the ID3 data and will display the name of the song in an
extended size on the screen of the equipment.
The GD-36 needs to refresh the data after the updates are finished for the updates to take effect; to do this the GD36 must
be turned off and on again locally or it can be done remotely by logging out of the FTP client using the
CLOSE
or
QUIT
commands.
When you execute one of these commands, the GD-36 will automatically reset and your new data will take effect. You can
also wait 3 minutes (approx.) since the last update operation and the update system will shut down completely and the
new data will take effect.
