7.1. SYSTEM STATUS
The WEBSERVER has a menu option called "
STATUS
" which allows you to monitor the status of the GD-36 and, in some
aspects, to interact with it:
NOTES:
For the browser to display the GD-36 application, the local network (Ethernet) connection must be configured. Please
refer to this manual to perform this configuration (
see section 6.4.1 Ethernet Configuration
). If in doubt, contact your local
network administrator. Please note that in order to access the GD-36 from the Internet (not necessary for local networks) there are
several important considerations to be met. In addition, qualified personnel will be required to perform some tasks:
- It is recommended to contract a Fixed IP service with your Internet provider, to ensure that the GD-36 is always available at the
same
EXTERNAL IP
address. If you already have Internet service, but it is of the Dynamic IP type, it will be necessary to
contract a
DYNAMIC DNS
service. For more details, consult your network administrator.
- The GD-36 must be configured in
MANUAL IP
mode. Consult your local network administrator for a free IP address.
- The external
TCP ports (80, 1998 and 1999)
must be redirected to the internal
TCP ports (80, 1998 and 1999)
on the IP
address with which you have previously configured the GD-36. To perform this task you will need to contact your local network
administrator.
- Access from mobile phones is not guaranteed.
- Depending on the existing data traffic in the local network or the contracted bandwidth, the loading of data content from the
Webserver to the remote computer may be slowed down.
